What makes STHLM DOGSPA Sensitive conditioner a gentle choice?

The formula is fragrance-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free, and gluten-free, pH-balanced to 5.8–6, and 100% vegan. It cleanses and cares for the coat without removing the skin's natural protective layer, making it excellent for example for poodles or Shetland sheepdogs, whose skin reacts sensitively.

Is the fragrance-free formula suitable for allergic or atopic dogs?

Yes. When scents and the most common irritating additives are absent, the risk of skin irritation decreases. This helps itchy skin for example in Staffordshire Bull Terriers or Labradoodles, for whom atopy is quite common.

How do aloe vera and vitamin E support the dog's skin well-being?

Aloe vera polysaccharides bind moisture and soothe redness, while vitamin E acts as an antioxidant strengthening skin cells. Together they ease dry skin flaking for example in boxers or basenjis.

How many treatments does 500 ml last for different sized breeds?

When applied as is (pea-sized amount per kg of dog weight), the bottle lasts approximately 40–45 treatments for a 6–10 kg Jack Russell, 18–20 treatments for a 15 kg Cockapoo, and 10–12 treatments for a 30 kg Golden Retriever. For a thick-coated 40 kg Bernese Mountain Dog, the amount is about 8–9 treatments. Dose according to coat length and dirtiness and always perform a test wash.

Should the conditioner be rinsed out completely or can it be left in the coat?

For long-coated dogs, you can let the product act for 2–3 minutes and rinse almost completely with lukewarm water, leaving a delicate protective layer on the hair. For short-haired dogs, you can rinse fully for a lighter finish.

Does the conditioner detangle mats in long coats?

Yes. Rub the product thoroughly into the ends, wait a moment, and comb out tangled areas for example from Afghan Hounds or Aussiedoodles. The coat surface remains slippery, so mats do not reform as easily.

Does it help with static electricity in short-haired breeds during winter cold?

It helps. The moisturizing film of aloe vera reduces static electricity, so the Rhodesian Ridgeback's or Weimaraner's coat does not “spark” indoors and hairs stay close to the body.

Can Sensitive conditioner be used in a puppy's first coat care?

Yes. The mild formula suits most puppies from eight weeks old. First make a small test foam on the belly skin and observe the reaction before full washing, especially with silky-coated Cocker Spaniel puppies.

Is it suitable for senior dogs with thinning coats?

Absolutely. Moisturizing ingredients bring flexibility to dry skin and give softness to thinning coats without a heavy greasy layer – a good choice for example for aging Labradors.

Can the conditioner be used on hairless Xoloitzcuintli or other hairless breeds?

Yes, provided you dilute it first with water (about 1:5) and rinse thoroughly so that skin pores do not clog. Avoid getting the product on open wounds or scratches.

Can I use this product to care for a Maine Coon cat's coat?

Yes. The pH is close enough to that of cats, and the fragrance-free formula suits the dense Maine Coon well. Foam lightly, rinse completely, and dry the undercoat thoroughly.

Does the conditioner work on the oily skin of Sphynx cats?

Occasional gentle treatment helps remove sebum from hairless skin. Spray diluted, rub lightly, and rinse with lukewarm water; this leaves the skin matte without a tight feeling.

Do I need the same series Sensitive Shampoo or can I use the conditioner alone?

You get the best, silky soft result when you first wash with the series shampoo, as it is optimized to leave a suitable pH base for the conditioner. However, the conditioner also works after other mild, sulfate-free shampoos.

How is the product's veganism and cruelty-free status ensured?

All raw materials are plant-based and the brand does not test products on animals. The product is also gluten-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and silicone-free, making it an ethical choice for environmentally conscious dog owners.

What is the best application technique for thick undercoat, such as in Samoyeds?

Wet the coat thoroughly, apply conditioner to your hands and rub in layers down to the undercoat. Add a small amount of lukewarm water for emulsification, brush the topline with a wide brush, and rinse carefully when the coat feels “non-squeaky.” This removes excess product but preserves softness.
