Why does the ISOFIX attachment make this seat a safer choice for my dog?

The ISOFIX attachment locks the seat directly to the car frame, so it cannot slide during sudden braking. Color markers immediately show when the seat is properly in place – no separate straps or adjustments, just press a button. This reduces the risk of incorrect installation and offers the same safety level used in R129-standard child seats.

What size dogs are the ISO5X and ISO6X sizes suitable for?

ISO5X is designed for dogs up to 13.6 kg, so it fits, for example, a toy poodle, basenji, and cocker spaniel. ISO6X supports up to 18.1 kg and provides ample space for a whippet, Shetland sheepdog, or standard-sized schnauzer. However, always measure your pet’s back length and weight before ordering.

Does my dog still need harnesses in the seat?

Yes. The two included attachment straps of different lengths snap onto your dog’s own strong safety harness. This keeps the dog in the correct position even if braking is sudden.

How does the cooling fan system work on hot days?

The two-speed fan circulates air inside the seat and expels heat through mesh panels. Power it from a power bank or the car’s USB port, and your dog will enjoy a steady, calming airflow even on long trips.

Can I use the fan when the car is not running?

You can. Connect the seat to a phone power bank, and the fan will run even when stopped, for example at a service station or rest area.

Can the seat be installed in the front seat, and why must the airbag be turned off?

The back seat is always the primary place, but if your car has ISOFIX anchors in the front seat, the seat can also be attached there. The front airbag is designed to protect an adult and deploys at speeds up to 300 km/h; the same impact force can crush the seat and seriously injure the pet. Therefore, the airbag must be turned off or set to “child/pet” mode before the dog travels in the front seat. Always check the car manufacturer’s instructions.

How does the ventilated canopy protect the dog from the sun without heating the interior?

The UPF 50+ canopy blocks harmful UV radiation, and the side mesh panels let heat escape. The peek-a-boo window allows air circulation, so the shade stays cool.

Are the cushions machine washable?

Yes. Two different liner bags and two mattresses come included, which can be removed with zippers and washed in the machine on a gentle cycle. Replace with a clean set, and the seat is immediately ready for the next trip.

Can I also snap the seat onto Roscoe Trek stroller frames?

Yes, the seat locks onto the same ISO attachment rail without additional adapters. So with one purchase, you get a transport carrier suitable for both car and stroller use.

How much space does the seat take in a small city car?

The ISO5X external dimensions are 60 × 43.5 × 53 cm, so it fits on the back seat of, for example, a Volkswagen Polo or Toyota Yaris without blocking the adjacent seat. ISO6X (74.5 × 46 × 59.6 cm) requires a wider back seat, like in a Skoda Octavia or Volvo V60, but still leaves the neighboring seat available.
