More information
The Trogolon dog bowl is made of weather-resistant concrete, designed for outdoor use.
Concrete is a natural material. The small air pockets, visible layers, and color variations in the surface texture are due to the material and the production process. Concrete enthusiasts appreciate the unique characteristics of their individual bowl. Concrete develops a patina over time. Stains may appear on the surfaces and there may be wear on the edges - this is part of the natural charm of each product.
The trough-drinking water basin meets the hygiene requirements set for cement materials used in drinking water containers, making it safe and suitable for this purpose (German Institute of Environmental Hygiene and Environmental Medicine).
Each bowl is sealed with a special coating (food-grade according to LGA), which prevents the penetration of water, oil, and grease that could cause stains. This way, any impurities remain on the surface, making them easy to wipe off. If there is coarse dirt, we recommend using a neutral cleaner without acids (no citrus cleaners).
Do not leave water standing in the bowl for too long, as algae may form. The tray can be easily emptied by tipping it on its side. You can clean and refill the tray easily with a garden hose or a watering can.
The trough is not frost-resistant and must be kept indoors during winter. Frost damage cannot be avoided if it is kept outside.
